International Chess Championship organised in Srinagar

International Chess Championship was organised by Kashmir Chess Club and Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association in Srinagar. Almost 140 players from different parts of the country participated. The main purpose of the championship was to promote Chess and attract more people to this peaceful game. It was an open championship for all age groups. Small kids, teenagers, college students, and senior citizens participated at a large scale in the championship. Chess is considered one of the best mind games which can be played anywhere. It is one of the famous international games and is popular among the youth. That’s why championships and tournaments always get a good response from indoor sports lovers.
