Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan said on Sunday that pregnant women should recite the "Sunderkand" chant and study epics like the Ramayana to have mentally and physically healthy offspring. Pregnant women will receive a combination of "scientific and traditional" prescriptions under the "Garbha Sanskar" scheme designed by Samvardhinee Nyas in order for them to deliver "sanskari and deshbhakt" kids. The Bhagavad Gita and other holy writings should be read, sanskrit mantras should be chanted, and yoga should be practised, among other recommendations.

The procedure will begin from the pre-conception stage and continue through the delivery stage until a baby is two years old. According to the 'Garbha Sanskar' module that was virtually launched, expectant moms' families would also receive guidance during the session. A branch of Rashtra Sevika Sangh, a women's group that is comparable to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), is Samvardhinee Nyas.

Speaking at the virtual launch ceremony, Soundararajan praised Samvardhinee Nyas' efforts in creating the "Garbha Sanskar" programme module and asserted that putting this "scientific and holistic approach" towards pregnancy into practise will "definitely" produce great results. pregnant women have been observed reading the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, and other epics in villages in addition to enjoyable tales. pregnant women are supposed to memorise Sunderkandam from the Kamba Ramayana, especially in tamil Nadu, she noted.

The Hindu epic "Ramayana" contains a chapter called "Sunderkand" that details the exploits of Lord Hanuman and his selflessness, bravery, and devotion to Lord Rama. The scientific approach to pregnancy is to prevent difficulties during the period, but Soundararajan, who is also the Lieutenant governor of Puducherry, emphasised that a holistic approach to pregnancy will enable pregnant women give birth to healthy and sound newborns.

She emphasised the significance of motherhood and the value of the "Garbha Sanskar" when she said that practising yoga throughout pregnancy will take care of the physical and mental welfare of both the expecting mother and the baby in the womb and eventually help in normal delivery.

Leena Gahane, co-head of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti's intellectual wing, spoke at the event. She expressed her appreciation for the launch of the "Garbha Sanskar" module on the occasion of the 350th anniversary of Jijabai ji's passing and expressed the hope that its implementation would produce "a next generation with qualities like shivaji Maharaj."
