    NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 99.08 points up at 62724.71 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

    On the BSE, Optimus Finance (down 11.93 per cent), Sharp Investments(down 11.21 per cent), Tranway Technologies(down 11.00 per cent), Sailani Tours N Trav(down 10.00 per cent) and Amanaya Ventures(down 9.97 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.

    In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks closed in the green, while 17 stocks ended in the red.

    The index closed 38.1 points up at 18601.5.

    On the BSE, Power & Instrument, Ambassador Intra, Alps Motor Fin., Vanta Bioscience and Bheema Cements Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Nagreeka Export, PTC Industries, Maiden Forgings, Akar Auto Ind. and Jay Bharat Marut touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
