Steve Hayes has quietly renounced from his post as president and CEO of Visit St. Pete – Clearwater, the destination marketing agency for Pinellas County, after a span of four years. However, a news release issued on Tuesday by the Pinellas County government does not define a reason for Hayes’s departure.

It is noted that Brian Lowack, special assistant to the county administrator, will conduct the agency on an interim basis while the county hound a search for a permanent replacement.

Barry Burton, County Administrators affirms that Pinellas County as well as the VSPC team remain fully engaged to support the hospitality and tourism industries and the communities and companies that constitute their destination.

They are appreciative of Steve for his years of service to Pinellas County and wish him victory in his future endeavors.
