The NSE Nifty index was trading 40.7 points up at 18604.1, while BSE Sensex was up 126.01 points at 62751.64 at the time of writing this report.
In the Nifty index, HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.66 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 1.46 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.43 per cent) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.36 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.00 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 0.86 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.44 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.41 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
