AAP mulling salary cut for PSPCL staff, has forgotten its promises: BJP leaders
Ludhiana: The district leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday protested against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)- led state government for allegedly failing to fulfil its promises made to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL)’s outsourced employees.
BJP district president Rajnesh Dhiman and other party leaders gathered at Samrala Chowk and raised slogans against the state government.
Dhiman said, “AAP leaders only made false promises and fooled people into voting for them. The outsourced employees of the PSPCL were promised that they will be paid enhanced salaries as per DC rates and their arrears will also be cleared.”
“The AAP-led state government has not only forgotten its promises but is instead contemplating reducing their salaries and is also not paying their dues timely,” he added.
He said, “It is shocking that these employees who work tirelessly to serve the public are being treated in such a manner. The BJP will ensure that all the justified demands of PSPCL’s outsourced employees are fulfilled.”
He further said that the party will support their agitations across Punjab.
Meanwhile, BJP’s state unit treasure Gurdev Sharma Debi also held discussions with the employees who handed over a memorandum of their demands to the BJP leaders.
