Mysuru: The city-based Deepa Education and Service Trust celebrated the World Environment Day at Deepa High School in Roopa Nagar on Saturday.
The event was organised to raise awareness about the ill-effects of the use of plastic and how to beat it.

Darshan C, director of Jagruth Tech, Ravikumar, retired lecturer of NIE College, were the resource persons. They explained the problems of using plastic, and the solutions that we must adapt to ensure that it helps in reducing the consumption of plastic.
President of the institution, Ramappa M, presided over the event. Principal of PU College Pranita Ermal, and headmistress of the institution, Geetha H and Shilpa Jagdeesh2, were also present on the occasion.
As part of the event, eco club members of the school were given caps.
