Parking lot shooting under investigation

A shooting in a Sturgis Township parking lot is under investigation.

Deputies responded to the area in the 69000 block of M-66 about 1:50 p.m. Saturday, according to a press release from the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department.

Several people were reported to be arguing and shots were fired at a vehicle as it drove away. No injuries were reported and a suspect has been identified, according to the sheriff department.

The incident remains under investigation. Further details have not been released.
