Andhra Pradesh: As BJP-TDP warm to alliance, Amit Shah slams Jagan Mohan Reddy govt at Visakhapatnam rally
Shah further charging the allegations said the state under Reddy’s leadership has become a home to anti-social elements and leaders of YSRCP are involved in such activities.

Amid the ongoing alliance talks of the BJP and Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Union Home Minister Amit Shah lambasted at Jagan Mohan Reddy’s incumbent government in Andhra Pradesh saying the Centre allotted money was looted by the YSRCP party.
While addressing a public rally in Visakhapatnam Shah said in the past 5 years, the Narendra Modi government had allotted Rs 5 lakh crore for Andhra Pradesh and asked where did all the money went. He further said it all went to the corrupt cadre of CM Reddy’s YSRCP.
Shah further charging the allegations said the state under Reddy’s leadership has become a home to anti-social elements and leaders of YSRCP are involved in such activities.
He said the ruling YSRCP is involved in various scams such as the land and mining scam, supply of illegal pharmaceutical drugs.
The senior BJP leader also said that CM Jagan is marketing its government as pro-farmer and is advertising PM Modi’s allotted rice with his picture pasted on it.
Shah who was addressing a meeting celebrating the 9 years of Modi government at the Centre appealed the Andhra Pradesh people to elect at-least 20 BJP MPs in the general elections next year.
BJP training its gun on Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP comes at a time when there are talks of TDP supremo and state’s former CM Chandrababu Naidu shaking hands with the Centre ruling party ahead of the elections.
BJP’s attack at YSRCP comes as a surprise to many as Reddy who distances itself from the national politics has in several instances since 2019, has backed Narendra Modi-led Central government in its major decisions and at times when the opposition stands all against.
The latest instance, during the Parliament inauguration, YSRCP did not join the range of opposition parties in the boycott move.

Twitter war between BJP, TMC over disrespect of Matua community Temple in West Bengal
TMC said the security staff of Union Minister Shantanu Thakur entered the shrine premises with their shoes on and ill-treated women.

The Twitter is divided between the BJP and the Trinamool Congress slamming each other over the alleged disrespect of a temple of the Matua community in West Bengal.
The fight is over the Thakurbari temple, the holy place of worship of the Matua community. The TMC alleges that the BJP disrespected the sanctity of the temple for the sake of politics.
TMC said the security staff of Union Minister Shantanu Thakur entered the shrine premises with their shoes on and ill-treated women.
TMC national General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee sharing some visuals on Twitter called it a shameful act of power and alleged, Thakur’s security stormed into the temple wearing shoes and manhandled women devotees.
TMC Spokesperson Kunal Ghosh also wrote on Twitter claiming women devotees who were present to offer their prayers at the Thakurbari temple have testified that it was CISF on Minister Thakur’s orders, which created a ruckus inside the temple complex.
Ghosh alleged, the CISF personnel with their shoes on, barged inside the temple, disrespected women, snatched their jewelry and used abusive languages.
Ghosh backing the Matua community said, it is a slap to their face by the BJP.
TMC also shared a video of a woman, claiming it to be a worker of its party saying Ila Bagchi, the worker was brutally attacked by the goons of BJP and were they instructed to do so by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Minister Thakur, a powerful leader from the Matua community responding to the allegations taking a jibe at TMC said, he was suprised to see the goons themselves expressing sadness over the attack. Thakur expressing his disappointment towards the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal said his community is being cowardly targeted and said the people of the Matua community are well aware of 6the fact of how much love and respect they receive from CM Banerjee and his nephew Abhishek Banerjee.
Thakur added, saying Mamata has been continuously disrespecting the community as she did in the past by consciously mispronouncing the names of Harichand Thakur and Guruchand Thakur.
Shantanu Thakur is a BJP MP from West Bengal’s Bangaon, currently serving as the Union Minister of state of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
The Matua community is an electorally significant community in the state, which is being approached by both the BJP and TMC.

Amit Shah sets target for NDA in 2024 Lok Sabha election, says Tamil Nadu should thank BJP for Sengol installation with 25 seats for NDA
Amit Shah said that 25 NDA MPs should be elected from Tamil Nadu as a mark of gratitude for installing the Sengol in the new Parliament building.

Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday demanded votes and victory for NDA in more than 25 of the 39 seats in Tamil Nadu in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He affirmed that a government under the leadership of Narendra Modi would be formed again at the Centre. The Union home minister made the aforesaid demand while launching Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign in the state ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
Addressing a public rally in Pallikonda in Vellore district as part of the party’s countrywide campaign to focus on the achievement of the Modi government in nine years, Amit Shah recalled the inaugural event of the new Parliament where the prime minister installed the Sengol. Speaking about the event, he said that Narendra Modi installed the Sengol which is emblematic of the Chola empire. He added that 25 NDA MPs should be elected from Tamil Nadu as a mark of gratitude for installing the Sengol in the new Parliament building.
The home minister further emphasized that the government under the leadership of Narendra Modi has taken multiple initiatives to promote Tamil language, culture and its history. Amit Shah remarked that Narendra Modi makes it a point to recognize the greatness of Tamil literature, Tamil saints and scholars together with its culture with immense pride in whichever country he visits.
Recently, during the inaugural event of the new Parliament, New Justice Party founder A C Shanmugam, who contested on a BJP ticket in the 2014 Lok Sabha election, presented a silver sceptre, known as Sengol to Amit Shah. Sengol is derived from the Tamil word ‘semmai’, which means righteousness. As per official document, it is a significant historical symbol of Independence that signifies the transfer of power from the British to the Indians.
Apparently slamming Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin, the home minister claimed that CM Stalin asked him on a public platform what has the Modi government done for Tamil Nadu in the past nine years. He added that he came to the state to answer his query and asked the chief minister to answer him the next day. Amit Shah noted that when Stalin’s DMK was a part of the UPA government, Tamil Nadu received Rs 95,000 crores from the Centre in 10 years. On the other hand, PM Modi gave Rs 2,47,000 crore to the state in the last nine years.
The Union home minister further stated Congress and DMK as 2G, 3G, and 4G parties. He elaborated that the Maran family is 2G, which has spent nearly two generations in corrupt politics. He claimed that the Karunanidhi family is 3G as it has been involved in corrupt politics for three generations adding that the Gandhi family is also into the same for four generations. He further voiced that it is the time now to throw 2G, 3G and 4G out and hand over the rule of the southern state to the son of the soil of Tamil Nadu.

Sexual harassment accused WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh announces bid for 2024 Lok Sabha elections
The Wrestling Federation of India chief further asserted that his political opponents and their parties have levelled false allegations against him.

Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and Bharatiya Janata Party MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh declared that he will contest the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Uttar Pradesh’s Kaiserganj constituency. The WFI chief who is also a BJP MP is facing sexual harassment allegations by India’s female wrestlers.
Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh made this announcement while addressing a rally at Gonda in Uttar Pradesh to celebrate nine years of the Narendra Modi government. The rally was conducted under BJP’s Mahasampark Abhiyan for 2024 elections. In his speech, the WFI chief did not mention about demonstrations by top wrestlers against him. He started his speech with a hindi poem which is roughly translated as, ‘This is the reward I have received for my love, they call me unfaithful. Call it notoriety or fame, they take my name with pursed lips.
Earlier, the BJP MP had announced the postponement of his June 5 Jan Chetna Maharally in Ayodhya, mentioning about a police investigation into the allegations of sexual harassment against him by seven women wrestlers, which also include a minor. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh noted that there were serious directions from the Supreme Court. The Wrestling Federation of India chief further asserted that his political opponents and their parties have levelled false allegations against him.
The female wrestlers have accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of touching their breasts and sliding his hand to the stomach on the pretext of checking their breathing. The Delhi Police has asked the wrestlers to produce photos, audios and videos to support their allegations. Meanwhile, the wrestlers on Saturday claimed that Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh is using his influence to put sexual harassment victim under pressure, eventually forcing them to alter their statement.
At present, the wrestlers halted their protest after Sports Minister Anurag Thakur assured them that a chargesheet in this case will be lodged by the Delhi police.
