Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 10:51AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.
Bharat Forge(up 1.15 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(up 0.94 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International(up 0.8 per cent), TVS Motor Company(up 0.67 per cent) and Ashok Leyland(up 0.36 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Maruti Suzuki(down 0.68 per cent), Sona BLW Precision Forgings(down 0.57 per cent), TIINDIA(down 0.07 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.07 per cent) and Eicher Motors(down 0.01 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.06 per cent at 14634.5 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 31.35 points at 18594.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 86.69 points at 62712.32.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, Zomato, Reliance Power, Vodafone Idea and Indian Energy Exchg were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of PTC Industries, Nagreeka Export, Blue Chip India, Datamatics Glob and Lloyds Luxuries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Supreme Engineering, Gammon Infra, Power & Instrument, Rachana Infrastructu and Infollion Research hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
