Jaipur: There was no respite from the scorching heat conditions for the fourth consecutive day on Sunday when majority of the places in the state recorded rise in both maximum and minimum temperatures. Despite drizzles in the morning, heat wave conditions continued to prevail. Kota was the hottest in the state with a maximum temperature of 43.6°C, the Met office said.
Attributing the rise in mercury to active northerly winds and vanishing of factors such as upper air cyclonic circulation and western disturbances, the Met office said that heat wave conditions will further aggravate in the state over the next couple of days.
People in Jaipur woke up to a warm morning with a minimum temperature of 27.1°C. Scattered rainfall in the early morning hours was witnessed at some localities, including Malviya Nagar, Jagapura and colonies close to Tonk Road. However, it did not have any impact on the maximum temperature which climbed to 40.1°C.
