Two hang themselves in separate incidents

Prayagraj: Two people committed suicides in two separate incidents reported in city in past 24 hours. In the first case, a 25-year-old woman identified as Anuradha Shukla, a resident of Sachendi (Kanpur nagar) hanged herself to death at her residence in Jodhwal area under the limits of Shivkuti police station here on Sunday. Upon being alerted, a team of Shivkuti police along with forensic experts rushed the spot and carried out investigations. Police said Anuradha was married to Arpit pandey about two years back and was staying in a rented accommodation at Jodhwal area of the city. The couple had a love marriage. The reason behind suicide was still unknown. Police have sent the body for post mortem.
In another case, a 50-year old man identified as Mahesh, a resident of Ashok Nagar committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling under the limits of Cantt police station late on Saturday night. Body has been sent for post mortem. Investigations are on.
