As such, Arteta has made plans to prioritise Castagne if a move for Frenesda is not possible.
The 27-year-old has prominently featured at right-back for the Foxes during his three years at the club.
But the former Atalanta star can also play at left-back, which would be a bonus to Arteta, whose defensive injuries played a huge role in the club's capitulation at the end of the season.

Kieran Tierney is also expected to leave the Emirates this year and a back-up to Oleksandr Zinchenko will need to be signed to replace him.
Castagne played 37 times this season for Leicester on both flanks, also being utilised as a wing-back when they went to a back three.
