One man dead, another injured in West Palm shooting

One man died and another was injured following a shooting in West Palm Beach on Saturday morning, according the sheriff’s office.

West Palm Beach police and deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 2200 block of Belvedere Road near Foster’s Shak, a West Palm Beach beach bar near Palm Beach International Airport, at about 1:40 a.m. Saturday.

“Upon arrival, deputies and officers found evidence of a shooting, however, no victims were located. A short time later deputies/police learned that two adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds were dropped off to (a) local hospital,” the release said.

One man died shortly after arriving at the hospital, and the other was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Foster’s Shak, located at 2225 Belvedere Road, was the site of another deadly shooting in October 2021.

The Sheriff’s Office had no information on a suspect on Sunday. Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
