Airbnb your apartment? For the first time you can do that in Greater Cincinnati

Airbnb has signed a deal with the owner of an apartment complex in Symmes Township that for the first time will allow tenants in the Cincinnati area to rent out their apartments for short-term stays through Airbnb's online platform, the company announced Thursday.
Airbnb already has 274 Airbnb-friendly apartments in Cincinnati
The 274 units at The Reserve at Glenbridge are already eligible for the "Airbnb-friendly apartments'' program, according to the company, which started out as an online marketplace where property owners could rent out their spaces to travelers looking for a place to stay.
Some local renters could earn $587 a month through Airbnb
The expansion of the hosting platform to apartments will allow Reserve at Glenbridge renters to potentially earn $587 a month, on average, while they travel or visit relatives, according to Airbnb.
Airbnb-friendly apartments are available in 37 markets nationwide
Local residents would join apartment dwellers in more than 250 buildings in 37 U.S. markets earning extra income while they're away, according to the company, which introduced Airbnb-friendly apartments last November.
Three things to know about Airbnb-Friendly Apartments:
- Hosts earned about $1.5 million altogether in just the last two months of 2022, with the typical host earning $4,500.
- There are now about 80,000 apartment units in the program across the U.S.
- Airbnb said it has received more than 3,000 inquiries about the availability of Airbnb-friendly apartment buildings.
