Narendra Modi is being praised by world leaders for his statesmanship, Rahul Gandhi has been insulting the country on his foreign tours. Shah was addressing BJP supporters during a public rally organised to mark nine years of the Modi-led government at theCentre.
Referring to Gandhi’s recent public events in the US, Shah said: “Rahul Gandhi does not talk here (in India) as there are very few people left who listen to him. Therefore, he goes abroad and speaks. However, when the world is praising our PM, Rahul is insulting the country. ”
The home minister also blamed Uddhav Thackeray for breaking the alliance with BJP after the 2019 poll results. “During the pre-poll negotiations, Uddhav Thackeray had agreed to make Devendra Fadnavis the chief minister if BJP-Shiv Sena got the majority. However, following the election results, he broke the alliance and joined hands with Congress and NCP in his greed to become chief minister,” he said.
