AAP Ramlila Maidan rally: Today in Delhi, later ordinance will be brought everywhere, alleges Arvind Kejriwal

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday organised a mega rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan against the Centre's Ordinance on control over administrative services in the national capital. AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal addressed thousands of people who were present at the venue. Kejriwal slammed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government for imposing an ordinance that will ruin the national capital's law and order. The mega is being attended by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Delhi Minister Gopal Rai, and party MP Sanjay Singh. Eminent lawyer and former Union Minister Kapil Sibal will address the rally and speak about the legal and constitutional aspects of the ordinance. Sibal is attending the rally at the invitation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Delhi Police has made a heavy security deployment around the Ramlila Maidan in view of the rally.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday claimed that the Ordinance that was brought by the central government in Delhi is going to be brought in other states as well.

Addressing the AAP mega rally against the Centre's Ordinance at Ramlila Maidan, Kejriwal said, "We have come to know that this is Modi ji's first attack. Through the ordinance, today dictatorship is being implemented in Delhi. Tomorrow this will be brought everywhere, Punjab, MP, Rajasthan..."

Today, from this platform, we have gathered to remove an arrogant dictator from the country. Arvind Kejriwal speaks on Manish Sisodia's prolonged jail term

On the arrests of AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, Arvind Kejriwal said they were arrested in order to stop work in the national capital. "But we have had 100 Sisodias and 100 Jains. They will continue the good work," the chief minister said.

While former deputy chief minister Sisodia was arrested in February over alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped liquor policy for 2021-22, Jain was arrested in May last year in a money laundering case.
