AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal addressed thousands of people who were present at the venue. Kejriwal slammed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government for imposing an ordinance that will ruin the national capital's law and order. The mega is being attended by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Delhi Minister Gopal Rai, and party MP Sanjay Singh. Eminent lawyer and former Union Minister Kapil Sibal will address the rally and speak about the legal and constitutional aspects of the ordinance. Sibal is attending the rally at the invitation of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Delhi Police has made a heavy security deployment around the Ramlila Maidan in view of the rally.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday claimed that the Ordinance that was brought by the central government in Delhi is going to be brought in other states as well.
Addressing the AAP mega rally against the Centre's Ordinance at Ramlila Maidan, Kejriwal said, "We have come to know that this is Modi ji's first attack. Through the ordinance, today dictatorship is being implemented in Delhi. Tomorrow this will be brought everywhere, Punjab, MP, Rajasthan..."
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan asked the public to compare his work with PM Narendra Modi. He said, "Modi has remained in power for 21 years (12 years as Gujarat CM and nine years as Prime Minister of India) while I have remained CM of Delhi for eight years. Yet I have done many reforms".
During a rally at Ramila Maidan, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said his party's movement against corruption was successful similarly the movement to save Constitution will also be successful.
"12 years ago, we had gathered in the same Ramlila Maidan today to fight against corruption, I bow down to this platform, it is a holy platform. Today, from this platform, we have gathered to remove an arrogant dictator from the country. As the movement against corruption was successful, similarly this movement to save the Constitution will be successful," he said.
On the arrests of AAP leaders Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, Arvind Kejriwal said they were arrested in order to stop work in the national capital. "But we have had 100 Sisodias and 100 Jains. They will continue the good work," the chief minister said.
While former deputy chief minister Sisodia was arrested in February over alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped liquor policy for 2021-22, Jain was arrested in May last year in a money laundering case.
Hitting out at the Centre, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said Delhi is the first to be "attacked" and similar ordinances will also be brought for other states. The ordinance says that there will be no democracy in Delhi, he alleged.
During the anti-ordinance rally in Delhi on Sunday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, " On 26 January 1950, India adopted its own Constitution. Dr BR Ambedkar mentioned in the constitution that India will be a democratic country. However, today, the Prime Minister of India has attacked our Constitution. PM Narendra Modi has changed the Constitution of India. PM is saying that instead of people, the LG will be supreme. Now to whosoever Delhi people give a vote, it will be a valueless process. BJP constantly insults me and abuses me. However I am a cultured man, I don't like to abuse them back. I only like to fulfill my responsibility. But this time, BJP has insulted Delhi residents...this is something intolerable for me".
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal attacked PM Modi and said, "PM Modi can't take care of the country but he wakes up every day and stops the work that are being done in Delhi".
