Crocodile kills man in Dabhoi

Vadodara: A man residing in a village in Dabhoi taluka of Vadodara district was killed in an attack by a crocodile on Saturday morning. Fire brigade personnel fished out the body of the man who was identified as Lalji Vasava (35).
The incident took place in the Orsang river near the Paara village in Dabhoi taluka. Vasava had entered the river for fishing when the crocodile attacked him and dragged him into the river.
Those who saw the incident informed the local police and the fire brigade in Dabhoi regarding the incident. The fire and emergency services department of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) also joined the search efforts.
Locals said crocodiles were a common sight in the river.
