Mangaluru: People of Ullal in Mangaluru constituency will hold a civic reception for the speaker of
Karnataka legislative assembly UT Khader at the Ullal city municipality ground at 6pm on Sunday.
A civic reception committee of Ullal has decided to honour their MLA, who has been elevated to the post of assembly speaker. Committee president Eshwar Ullal said that several religious leaders will be the guests at the ceremony.
“We have decided to hold a civic reception for speaker UT Khader, who is the five-time MLA of Mangaluru constituency. Becoming the speaker is a major milestone in the political career of Khader, who has served as the MLA of Mangaluru and a minister in the government. Ullal is famous for three prominent religious shrines, including
Sri Somanatha Temple of Someshwara, Syed Madani Darga and St Sebastian Church of Permannur. Hence, a civic reception will be held with the involvement of people from all castes and religions. Religious leaders will be guests at the programme,” he said.
