1 injured, 2 hospitalized after domestic-related shooting at Milltown apartment: Police
One person was injured in a domestic-related shooting involving two others at the Cynwyd Club Apartments complex in Milltown, according to New Castle County police.
Police said they responded to the shooting Friday evening in the 1300 block of Cynwyd Club Drive. Officers found a 40-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the torso and head injury, according to a news release.
An initial investigation revealed that the incident began when a 14-year-old boy and a 41-year-old man had a physical altercation with weapons at an apartment.
The woman then confronted the 41-year-old man with a baseball bat. Soon after, the 41-year-old man grabbed a handgun and shot the woman, according to police.

The woman and 14-year-old fled the scene and called 911. All three individuals were taken to a local hospital for treatment and released.
The 41-year-old man was arrested on the scene. He faces multiple charges, including assault in the first degree, reckless endangerment in the first degree and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to police.
