Police raid house for allegedsex racket

Kanpur:A group of locals created ruckus in front of a house in Rawatpur alleging that sex racket is being run there. The police, who reached on the information, raided the house and detained five women and a middle-aged man. During this, the police have recovered a large amount of objectionable material.
The police said that locals alleged that a woman had taken a house on rent six months ago. “As per the locals, suspicious type of women and men both use to come to this lady’s house. People with criminal background also visited during late night hours,” said police further.
On Saturday afternoon, the local people created ruckus alleging the presence of sex workers and customers in the house. On the information of the local people, the Rawatpur police reached the spot and detained five women and a middle-aged person.
ACP Kalyanpur Vikas Pandey also reached the spot. The police later took five girls including the lady into custody by raiding the house.
A middle-aged man has also been caught by the police. ACP said that the allegations of the local people are being investigated. “Legal action will be taken on the basis of evidence and other findings,” he added. tnn
