Inside NICE Conference: Narayana Health Shines with World’s Fastest Brain Aneurysm Procedure

The NICE International Conference witnessed a historic moment in the world of medicine. Among the 35 centers from across the globe presenting their cases, Narayana Health stole the show with a life-saving intervention that broke all previous records.

A patient with multiple intracranial aneurysms was on the brink of a disaster when one of the aneurysms ruptured, causing internal bleeding within the brain. Dr. Vikram Huded, a seasoned Neuro-interventionist from NH Institute of Neuroscience, led the skilled team of doctors who undertook the challenge to save the patient.

The team employed a flow diverter stenting technique, using an advanced type of flow-diverter device which was being used for the first time in India. The marvel lies in the speed; the procedure was completed in a staggering two and a half minutes. This achievement was not only a medical success but also earned the distinction of being the fastest deployment of this particular device in the world.

The manufacturer of the device acknowledged this record, and the breakthrough was shared with medical professionals around the world during the NICE International Conference.

Dr. Vikram Huded explained the significance and working of this procedure. The flow diverter stent helps in keeping the blood flowing through the artery, while simultaneously reducing the flow into the aneurysm, eventually causing it to shrink.

This milestone is a feather in the cap for Narayana Health and signifies the leaps being made in the field of healthcare. With such innovation and dedication, Narayana Health is certainly paving the way for future medical advancements.
