We’re getting closer and closer to the official start of summer, and with hits like Fast X and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse already making headlines, it’s bound to be a busy blockbuster season.
But you don’t have to go to the theater to have a fun movie night! (Or day.) The major streaming services always have big-time blockbusters available, with new (or new-to-you) ones arriving throughout the year. And that’s not to mention all of the great smaller movies that are available, too.
Every week, we keep track of what’s new and worthwhile in this weekly update. These are the best new movies to stream on Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Max (HBO), and other streaming services.
We also have guides to the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, and the best movies on HBO.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania didn’t exactly launch Phase 5 of the MCU into hyperspace, especially after abuse allegations were targeted toward the MCU’s new big bad, Jonathan Majors, but it’s still worth a watch for Marvel adherents.
In the film, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) continue their study of the Quantum Realm. But when they’re sucked in, along with Scott’s daughter, Cassie (Kathryn Newton), they encounter strange new creatures firsthand and come face-to-face with a terrifying new threat: Kang the Conqueror (Majors).
This new Disney+ original tells the story of Caleb Channing (Isaiah Russell-Bailey), who is growing up in 2257 on a lunar mining colony. After the death of his father (Entergalactic‘s Scott Mescudi), however, Caleb is set to be permanently relocated to an idyllic faraway planet.
Before he’s sent off, Caleb wants one more moon adventure to explore a mysterious crater. With his best friends, Dylan (Billy Barratt), Borney (Orson Hong) and Marcus (Thomas Boyce), and a new arrival from Earth, Addison (Mckenna Grace), they hijack a rover and go exploring.
Netflix
Between blockbuster season and FUBAR‘s Arnold Schwarzenegger being brought on as Netflix’s “Chief Action Officer,” it seems appropriate to feature Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the biggest Arnold movie to hit Netflix this month. (And a nice tease for Netflix’s three-part docuseries on the legendary action star.)
Nearly a decade after the events of the first film, Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) is raising her son, John (Edward Furlong), who is destined to become the future leader of the human resistance against Skynet. Skynet sends a newer, deadlier terminator back in time to eliminate John but, once again, the resistance manages to send a protector back to attempt to save John and Sarah.

This genre-bending rom-com stars Chris Evans and Ana de Armas as polar opposites who stumble into romance. Cole (Evans) is a salt-of-the-earth, cautious romantic who falls head over heels for the enigmatic Sadie (de Armas) after one good date.
But when she stops replying to his texts, Cole begins to fear he’s been ghosted. Turns out, she’s a secret agent, and before she can completely ghost Cole, they’re forced to team up on an international adventure to save the world.
