COLVA: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday produced before the trial court the muddemal property —- pieces of stones, bricks, blood-soaked cotton, banner written as ‘Suspend Panaji PI immediately’ — as evidence in the 2008 Panaji police station attack case.
The court recommenced the trial in which revenue minister Atanasio Monserrate, his wife Jennifer, the then Panaji mayor Tony Fernandes have been named as accused.
Monserrate, who was the then Taleigao MLA, allegedly led the mob to Panaji police station demanding the release of some people of his constituency who had been arrested.
