Leopard found dead in farm near Dabhoi, no parts missing

Vadodara: A leopard was found dead in a farm in Nagdol village of Dabhoi taluka in Vadodara district on Friday. It is believed that the leopard died on Thursday night.
A farmer from Nagdol informed forest officials about the dead leopard when he visited his farm and found the carcass. The farmer claimed that the carcass was not there when he had last visited the farm on Thursday evening.
Forest officials took the carcass for an autopsy. Sources said that no parts of the leopard were missing even as reports claimed that there was bleeding from the mouth of the big cat.
Villagers also claimed that there was presence of other leopards in the area. Forest officials from Dabhoi informed their seniors regarding the leopard’s death before proceeding with the formalities for an autopsy and disposal of the carcass.
