Man in Maharashtra's Osmanabad gets 3 life terms for raping 6-year-old girl
CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR: A special court in Osmanabad has convicted a 32-year-old man for raping a six-year-old girl nine months ago and sentenced him to three life imprisonments. Police said the convict, who hails from Tuljapur, is a habitual offender with cases of crimes against women registered against him in Pune city, and Osmanabad and Solapur districts.
Superintendent of police Atul Kulkarni told TOI: “He has been earlier convicted and sentenced to six years imprisonment for an FIR registered against him in Solapur and 10 years of imprisonment in a case registered against him in Pune. A fortnight after he was released from prison, he raped a six-year-old girl on August 30, 2022.”

A 19-year-old girl died after falling from the 7th floor of an under-construction building in CBD-Belapur on Thursday evening. She had gone there for a party with her boyfriend and a common friend. Pramod Toradmal, senior inspector of NRI coastal police station, said the girl was a school dropout and resided in Panvel. On Thursday, she had gone to the Belapur residence of her boyfriend Shivam Nanavare (20), who works at a mall in Belapur. They called their common friend Sai Kadam (23) for the party. Kadam works as administration staffer with a vehicle showroom in Kamothe.

All of Maharashtra has an extended range prediction of below normal rainfall, except on and off thunderstorms till June 22.The extended range forecast also indicates below normal rains till June 15 over the west coast, including south Konkan, and beyond that over parts of Maharashtra till June 22. Normally monsoon covers the state by June 15.
