Man believed to be homeless charged with fatally shooting another man in North Linden
A man believed to be homeless has been charged with fatally shooting another man Friday during an argument in North Linden, Columbus police said.
At about 1:40 p.m. Friday, police responded to a report of a shooting in the 1900 block of Denune Avenue, Columbus police said. Responding officers found 32-year-old Rapheal Jones suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Columbus Division of Fire medics transported Jones, whom records indicate resided in Gahanna, to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased at 2:46 p.m.
Jones and Sir Robert Martin-Sydnor, 28, were arguing when Jones pulled out a handgun and shot Jones, police said. Martin-Sydnor wran from the scene, possibility in possession of a backpack that belonged to Jones.

Homicide detectives obtained a warrant charging Martin-Sydnor with murder in connection with Jones’ death.
Police said Martin-Sydnor is believed to be homeless and was recently living in an inoperable vehicle parked near where the murder occurred.
As of Friday night, police were still searching for Martin-Sydnor.
