Man returns home after walk, robbed at gunpoint
Nagpur: A 57-year-old school clerk, Kamal Advani, was robbed of ₹2.5 lakh at gunpoint by two persons at his residence at Yadav Nagar on Wednesday. Advani had returned from morning walk when he saw two persons wearing helmets inside his house. The duo pushed him down and brandished a firearm while threatening him of dire consequences. An offence was registered at Yashodhara Nagar police station.
Minor raped, threatened
A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped repeatedly by one Sumeet Madavi who had entered into a physical relationship with the survivor, a Std XII student, after befriending her in October 2022. Madavi had allegedly threatened the girl of dire consequences. The Hingna police have nabbed Madavi.
Woman dies after fall
The Sakkardara police booked Prashant Gondane, 55, for culpable homicide not amounting to murder after his wife, Kashma, was declared dead at a hospital following a fall at their residence at Somwari quarters on Wednesday. The couple had a fight over attending last rites of Kashma’s relative. Prashant pushed Kashma who fell down and suffered head injuries. tnn
