2 people shot at Skyway apartment building
Two people were shot in the Skyway area of unincorporated King County early Thursday.
Deputies were called to the Creston Point Apartments at 13445 Martin Luther King Jr. Way South at 2:15 a.m.
One person was taken to the hospital. Deputies are trying to find the second victim.
King County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Eric White said he did not know how badly the victims were hurt.
Detectives are interviewing neighbors.
White said no one was arrested and there is no suspect information.
A man who lives in the complex, Jmlad Bnae, says he’s used to the sound of gunshots.
“I’m not surprised, really. This is like a basic drill going on around here, and it’s kinda sad to see it, but you kinda get used to it, so I’m not really surprised,” said Bnae. “You can just hear gunshots at a random time, the day or at night,” said Bnae.
There was another fatal shooting at the same apartment complex in February last year.
Bnae says all the violence is upsetting.
“I’m actually worried because I’m a brother to sisters, and it could be them one day. So I don’t really know, that’s the thing that worries me,” said Bnae.
His message to the community is clear.
“Stop the violence. I just want to say for them to stop the violence, because I don’t think we’ll go anywhere with the violence,” said Bnae.
