Kajol, on Friday afternoon, announced that she is taking a break from social media. The actress has deleted all her existing posts from Instagram, while her Twitter profile still has previous posts. Without sharing much details, Kajol wrote this in her latest Instagram as well as Twitter entry, "Facing one of the toughest trials of my life." She captioned it, "Taking a break from social media." While the actress hasn't revealed the reason for removing all her posts, a section of the Internet sent her good wishes while some users wondered if it was a promotional strategy for her upcoming web-series The Good Wife - a Hindi adaptation of the American courtroom drama.
The post was flooded with comments like "Sending you so much love" and "Please take care." Another comment read, "Hope you're doing fine, take your time." A third added, "Sending you all my love. Take your time. We will be here." Another section of the Internet thought that Kajol might have deleted the posts as a part of promotional activity for The Good Wife. A comment read, "Lol this is just part of her promotion guys. Chill. She's doing the remake of the show The Good Wife where the protagonist is a lawyer. Hence, the trial." Another comment read, "Maybe it's a promotional thing for her upcoming series? She'll be playing a lawyer in Good Wife and she has used "trial" in her post...She didn't delete her posts she just archived them. So don't jump into conclusions without knowing the whole thing." Another one added, "Just another movie promotion." Another comment on the post read, "This is just marketing strategy for her new series The Good Wife.

In terms of work, Kajol was last seen in Salaam Venky, co-starring Vishal Jethwa and Aamir Khan (in a cameo appearance). The film was directed by Revathy and it released last year. The actress will next be seen in Netflix's anthology film Lust Stories 2.
