Dick Williams, a former senior vice president and general manager for the Cincinnati Reds who later served as the team's president of baseball operations, is the new chairman and interim CEO of Skyline Chili, per an announcement Friday from the company.

Williams, who resigned as the Reds' president of baseball ops in 2020, is a member of Skyline's Board of Directors and president of Cincinnati-based North American Properties.

Skyline Chili's CEO, Kevin McDonnell, is retiring after more than 32 years with the company. McDonnell joined Skyline in 1991 as CFO, and was named CEO and Chairman of the Board in 1998.

In 2021, local real estate developer and Reds co-owner Tom Williams, CEO of North American Properties, bought a stake in the Skyline Chili restaurant chain for an undisclosed sum.

"We congratulate Kevin on leading and growing Skyline across his 32-year career with the company and wish him, his wife, Erica, and their family all the best," Tom Williams said in a statement. "Dick is in the perfect position to lead Skyline at this time. He’ll ensure that the company’s brand continues to shine and hold a special place in the hearts of Skyline fanatics."
