State monitoring cell busts liquor smuggling racket, seizes 300 boxes

Vadodara: A team of the state monitoring cell (SMC) busted a liquor selling racket in the city and seized nearly 300 boxes late on Wednesday night. The SMC team had received a tip-off that a tempo carrying liquor was kept in the Warasia area following which they reached the spot. An offence under the Prohibition Act was registered at the Warasia police station. Cops have also begun searching for the bootlegger involved in the liquor trade. tnn
