Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shashil G Namoshi on June 09 took a jibe at the Congress-led government over a political slugfest on the Karnataka government’s proposal to revise school textbooks for this year. He said that they are using common people’s money to fulfil the 5 promises during the campaign. He also said that Congress leader BK Hariprasad finds pleasure in blaming the RSS all the time. Shashil G Namoshi said, “One thing I would like to tell Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa is that before stepping into changing textbooks let him first set up an expert committee to review the last tenure. Then step on to the think of changing.”“It is very unfortunate that BK Hariprasad speaks absurdly, and maybe he derives pleasure in blaming the RSS all the time. I don’t understand why he is biased with that. The textbooks have already come into existence and they are already using common people’s money to fulfil the 5 promises. What is the hurry to change the syllabus? And how much money would be spent to do that? We have consulted the intellectuals and with everyone’s approval, we have constructed the syllabus so we would never spoil the students’ minds,” Shashil G Namoshi
