Kentucky baseball has a chance to make history this weekend.
The No. 12-seed Wildcats (40-19) visit Baton Rouge to take on college baseball powerhouse and No. 5 LSU (46-15) in the NCAA super regionals. It's just the second time UK has made it this far in the postseason, and the first time since 2017.
The best-of-three series between SEC foes begins Saturday at 3 p.m., and the winner punches a ticket as one of the final eight teams in the NCAA tournament to make the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. If Kentucky pulled off the upset, it would be its first trip to Omaha.
The Wildcats are in the super regional after beating Indiana twice during the Lexington Regional, including the winner-take-all regional final Monday evening.
