Bohra Industries(down 2.58%), Agro Phos(down 2.52%), Paradeep Phosphates(down 2.39%), Madras Fertlizers(down 2.35%), Aries Agro(down 2.31%), ZUARIAGRO(down 2.13%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.90%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 1.37%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.27%) and Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 1.00%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 91.85 points down at 18634.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 294.32 points at 62848.64.
NTPC(up 2.65%), JSW Steel(up 2.61%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.46%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.07%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.02%), Cipla(up 0.52%), Bajaj Auto(up 0.42%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.23%), HDFC(up 0.2%) and HDFC Bank(up 0.06%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Grasim Industries(down 3.23%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 2.73%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 2.72%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.23%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.99%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.94%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.9%), Eicher Motors(down 1.88%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.8%) and Axis Bank(down 1.5%) closed in the red.
