Pipeline repair finished, water supply back today
Jaipur: Water supply in the city will be restored properly on Thursday as the repair work of the Bisalpur transmission line was completed on Wednesday, said officials public health engineering department (PHED).
In some parts of the city, water supply started from Wednesday evening itself, but complete supply will start from Thursday morning.
Water supply in the city was shut down since Tuesday morning due to repair work of a leakage in the transmission line of the Bisalpur-Jaipur drinking water project.
“The repair work started on Tuesday morning, and we had estimated that the work will be completed by Tuesday night itself but as the leakage was at the bottom of the pipeline, it took more time. The repair work was finished on Wednesday morning after which water supply had been started but it takes around 12 hours for the water to reach the tanks from where it is supplied to households. The water supply will be completely restored by Thursday,” said a senior official from PHED.
