KALYAN: The Bhartiya Janata Party and
Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) may hold power together in the state, but there is a lot of difference in both parties at the local level and it was seen in Kalyan-Dombivli.
The
BJP on Thursday passed a resolution in the meeting of its key officials that till Manpada police station's senior inspector Shekhar Bagde, who filed a 'false' case of molestation on Dombivli's Mandal president Nandu Joshi, is not transferred, the party will not help Shiv Sena at the local level.
It may be recalled that recently after the case was registered against Joshi, the BJP staged a huge protest in front of the police station and demanded the transfer of Bagde, after which Bagde has been sent on leave.
BJP local leaders from Dombivli in a party meeting blamed that Bagde always files false cases against BJP workers or harasses them, so the party was adamant on demanding his transfer. The meeting was organized in Kalyan East in which many senior BJP’s leaders including state’s PWD minister Ravindra Chavan, Kalyan East MLA Ganpat Gaikwad and Ulhasnagar MLA Kumar Ailani were present.
Shashikant Kamble, BJP’s Kalyan district president told TOI, "Our party workers raised issue about Bagde’s transfer who falsely implicated our party’s worker in molestation case and it is decided that till he (Bagde) was not transferred, the party ill not help Shiv Sena at local level in Kalyan-Dombivli".
Another BJP leader Gulabrao Karanjule said: "We are also upset with Shiv Sena at local level because their party leadera did not use the photos of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and PWD Minister Ravindra Chavan into Wednesday’s Diva program. The CM and Deputy CM both inaugurated several projects in the programme."
It may be recalled that Bagde is known for extraordinary service in police department and he has got several medals for cracking various sensitive cases including arresting of some terrorists during his posting in ATS.
The BJP’s move meanwhile has disappointed police personnel especially in Manpada police station who knew Bagade as honest police officer who does not interfere in politics
