Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 26.13 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 16.71 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 5.83 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 5.66 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 4.30 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 3.94 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.99 crore), Zomato(number of shares traded: 2.59 crore), Alok Industries(number of shares traded: 2.58 crore) and Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 2.44 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:06AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 44.05 points up at 18770.45, while BSE Sensex was up 146.67 points at 63289.63 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, JSW Steel Ltd.(up 4.39 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 3.55 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.40 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.59 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.17 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.80 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
