Rs 5 lakh valuables stolen from techie's home in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Burglars broke into the house of a software engineer at Banjara Hills Road Number 12 and escaped with valuables worth Rs 5 lakh. Police are verifying CCTV footage to zero in on the offenders.
The incident happened at the house of Mohammed Ahmed Ali, a software engineer working at a company in Madhapur. Ali's family has been living at a flat in Gokul Residency apartment in Kimti Colony. On returning home on Monday evening, Ali and his wife found the lock on the iron safe was broken.
The burglars had stole `2.5 lakh cash and four tola gold worth `2.5 lakh. “The complainant’s flat is in the sixth floor.
We suspect that the accused might have sneaked into the flat through the sliding door window,” Police said. Police suspect that the accused could be familiar with the apartment. A case was registered under sections 454 and 380 of the IPC.
