Speeding car kills 4 in Gumla, 4 others injured

Gumla: Four persons — three women and an ex-Army man — died while four others, including three women, sustained critical injuries when a speeding car rammed them near the Bank of India branch in the Kamdara block of Gumla on Wednesday afternoon.
Those who died were identified as Barshila Barla (50), and Kripa Surin (45), both from Surhu village, Jyotish Indwar (40), a ward commissioner of Kamdara, and retired Armyman Basant Nag from Surhu village.
The injured victims are Lusia Topno (25), Jeeramani Kandulna (45), Joden Nag (40) from Bartoli village, and Aleena Surin of Surhu village in the Kamdara block. An eyewitness said the car was on the way to Ranchi from Simdega.
