Girl crushed to death by reversing car

BHIWANDI: A four-year-old girl, who was playing in a housing society complex in Bhiwandi, was crushed to death after a visitor reversed his vehicle while watching a video.
The incident took place during a wedding ceremony in a well-known housing society in Bhiwandi where the parents of the victim, Alina, and the man involved in the accident had gathered as guests.
The police have registered a case against Saddam Maqbool Shaikh, who was at the wheel at the time of the incident on Monday evening. He has been arrested on the charges of causing death by negligence. The complaint was filed by the girl's father Akram Mansuri, a resident of Nalasopara.
Police said Shaikh had rolled up the car windows and failed to notice the children playing behind the card.
