Kathua case: Trial of accused earlier declared a juvenile begins
Chandigarh: The trial of Subham Sangra, an accused in the Kathua rape and murder case who was earlier declared as a juvenile, formally commenced on Wednesday before the district court Pathankot in Punjab. The Supreme Court (SC) had ordered that the accused be tried as an adult.
The matter was listed for hearing before the additional session judge Pathankot, who was on duty in the court during vacations. This was the first hearing in the Pathankot court after the trial was ordered to be transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir by the SC due to sensitivity.
The entire record pertaining to the trial of the accused has reached Pathankot.
