Katargam PI shunted after seizure of liquor worth ₹22L
Surat: A day after the state monitoring cell (SMC) raid, police commissioner Ajay Tomar on Wednesday shunted out Katargam police station inspector YB Gohil in whose jurisdiction liquor worth Rs 22 lakh was seized.
Gohil was transferred to the special branch.
Tomar also shunted Athwa police inspector GK Jadeja following numerous complaints against him regarding dealing with citizens.
“The police commissioner found a major lapse by Gohil in dealing with liquor trafficking. On the other hand, he also received many complaints over Athwa police inspector’s dealing with citizens and he was not satisfied with his work,” sources in the police department said.
