Ordnance Parachute Factory gets certification

Kanpur: Ordnance Parachute Factory, a unit of reputed Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU), Gliders India Limited (GIL) has received the International AS9100D certification for manufacturing excellent products in the Aerospace field.
AS9100D is the most recent standard marker for organisations that either develop, design or provide aeronautical components. This includes aviation, space, and defence products and services. The AS9100D standard was designed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) and standardises quality management systems.
As a revised version of the AS9100C, this updated certification includes industry-specific guidelines when it comes to developing, producing, and distributing components and the standard helps to ensure high quality production.
“This certificate provides global recognition in the field of excellence and is considered as an excellent product manufacturer on the international platform, which is a matter of great pride, globally,” said OPF General Manager MC Balasubramaniam.tnn
