Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 09:59AM

Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 2.54%), ZUARIAGRO(up 2.40%), Rama Phosphates(up 1.78%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 0.50%), KRISHANA(up 0.40%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.37%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.35%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 0.29%), Aries Agro(up 0.21%) and G S F C(up 0.16%) were among the top gainers.

Agro Phos(down 2.26%), Coromandel International(down 0.77%), Madras Fertlizers(down 0.74%), National Fertilizer(down 0.49%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.35%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.27%), Sikko Industries(down 0.24%), Paradeep Phosphates(down 0.17%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.04%) and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.02%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 23.0 points up at 18749.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 77.48 points at 63220.44 at around 09:59AM.

NTPC(up 3.69%), JSW Steel(up 2.57%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.13%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.72%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.29%), Adani Enterprises(up 0.94%), Tata Motors(up 0.83%), HDFC(up 0.65%), HDFC Bank(up 0.65%) and IndusInd Bank(up 0.64%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.55%), Eicher Motors(down 1.21%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 1.2%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.15%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.96%), HCL Technologies(down 0.84%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.8%), Wipro(down 0.71%), Nestle India(down 0.65%) and Divis Laboratories(down 0.6%) were trading in the red.
