William Blair has lowered its rating on STAAR Surgical (NASDAQ:STAA) to market perform citing a potential delay in US market inflection for the implantable lens maker.
"Overall, while we continue to think 10%-plus penetration is achievable in the United States, we believe an inflection in adoption and growth is likely to take more time than previously anticipated," William Blair analysts wrote in a note.
The analysts added that they continue to see overall company growth at 20%-plus, but were downgrading the stock until they gain "greater visibility on the geographic outlook."
