3km route on Metro-5 to be underground

BHIWANDI: In a major decision, the state on Tuesday gave MMRDA approval to make the 3km route between Dhamankar Naka and Temghar on Metro-5 project (Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan) an underground route instead of an elevated one.
The decision will prevent thousands of people from getting affected by the Metro project and will also help MMRDA start work on Phase-2 between Bhiwandi-Kalyan.
