    An absconding accused, who allegedly raped and killed an 18-year-old girl at a women's hostel in Mumbai's Marine Drive, died by jumping in front of a train on Wednesday, reported ANI. The deceased, identified as Prakash Kanojia, used to work as a security guard in the same hostel. Earlier on Wednesday, the body of the girl was found in her hostel room.

    Girl was allegedly killed after rape

    According to the Mumbai Police, the girl's room was locked from the outside, and she was found dead inside with a dupatta around her neck. The police suspected that she was raped and then murdered. Meanwhile, Kanojia's body was found near the Charni Road railway track. The officials further said that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
