A Covington-based bakery is consolidating its stores.

The Bean Haus Bakery & Café's Mainstrasse location officially closed on Tuesday, according to the store's owner.

The business, known for its pies, coffee and ice cream, will continue to operate from its 1316 Greenup St. location.

"We recently reflected on where we've been and where we're headed because of some recent health challenges," reads a post on the bakery's Facebook page. "The decision was not made lightly as each of you has been a part of our lives for nearly 18 years in a variety of locations, and we started this adventure in Mainstrasse."

The post says customers' Bean Haus points accumulated at the Mainstrasse store are also redeemable at the Greenup Street location.

"Although we will miss being in Mainstrasse, Covington is our community and we are still here and happy to be a part of what is happening here," the post reads.
