Adulterated jaggery seized
Rajkot: Rajkot rural police seized adulterated jaggery stock worth Rs 17.37 lakh from a cold storage near Bharudi on Gondal national highway on Tuesday. Based on specific information that the jaggery stock is not fit for human consumption, the police along with the food and drugs department raided the cold storage. They said that the extremely poor quality stock was being supplied in the market.
19-year-old alleges caste abuse
Rajkot: A 19-year-old man registered a complaint with the University police under the Atrocities Act alleging that he was subjected to casteist slurs based on his social media post. Complainant Dharmik Parmar alleged that his video regarding Hindu religion offended netizen Visubha Valal who hurled casteist slurs and threatened to kill him. He also received threatening messages from one Ajaysinh Jadeja.
